Module 5

How to transform your ideas to a website.

Key Points

  • It is important to be as clear as possible about what you want in a website, so you can communicate that to your web designer.
  • Use the brand book you created in Unit 2 for the brand elements, and the digital strategy document you made in Unit 1 to help your designer know where you are heading as a business.
  • Have a selection of websites you really like, with the functions you want, the look and feel – they can be from any sector, to help your designer get across the brief.
  • Be clear on what you can provide: content, images, and what visual and brand assets you already have.
  • Have realistic timeframes and budget in mind, know the market so you can make informed choices.
  • Remember a website is an investment not an expense, it will pay for itself in sales. Download the web briefing document and you are ready for your build or upgrade.
